BriggsAmasco is in line for a highly-prized industry award in recognition of its work on a major city development.

The Construction News Specialists Awards pay annual homage to the UK’s best specialist contractors. It attracts entrants nationwide and features a range of categories. Having run the rule over the initial wave of entries, judges have shortlisted BriggsAmasco in the Project of the Year by a Specialist Contractor (subcontract between £2m and £6m) category. It’s in relation to the company’s delivery of a multiple-roof system as part of the multimillion pound redevelopment of the Battersea Power Station site in south-west London.

Speaking of the company’s nomination for the 2018 awards, Dave Maginnis, Managing Director at BriggsAmasco, said: “This is wonderful news. We’re particularly proud of the work we carried out at Battersea Power Station, so to have received recognition from judges at this early stage is fantastic for all concerned.”

The awards evening was held on Thursday, March 8th at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. However BriggsAmasco were not successful on the night, but received the following judges’ comments, “Very strong presentation with quality right the way through design. Excellent health & Safety and training approach. The logistics management and values of the company were clear to see. A very good effort and beaten in what was a very high standard of entries.”
