Although much of the refurbishment was completed during the school holidays, it was still vital that any roofing works would have a minimal impact on the buildings below. To achieve this, BriggsAmasco specified a Sarnafil roofing system comprising Sarnafil G410-EL, Sarnavap 5000E VCL and 120mm thick PIR insulation – all applied without any need for hot works.

For the Sarnafil roofing system a vapour control layer, Sarnavap 5000E VCL was applied, as well as a high performance 120mm thick PIR insulation – all specified and installed by BriggsAmasco.

Across the seven roofs, the highly skilled team of BriggsAmasco operatives installed some 1,800m2 of the multi-layer, hot air weldable Sarnafil G410-EL to complete the high performance, long term waterproofing application that ensured teachers and students were unaffected during the application and will remain protected from the elements for many years to come.

Faced with a challenging, time restricted application across a number of varying sized roofs, BriggsAmasco were able to deliver a new roofing system that not only delivered on performance, but also offered a speedy application. Thanks to BriggsAmasco, all seven roofs met and exceeded the client’s expectations and will continue to do so under the many challenges of the unpredictable Scottish weather.
