In 2009, the converted boathouse developed a series of leaks that made the facility unsuitable to be used as a training centre for Merseyside’s 18 sea cadet units. With no funding or the required skills to repair the roof themselves, the Sea Cadets turned to roofing restoration campaign – ‘Fix That Hut’.

Alongside IKO, Chestnut Roofing & Building Supplies and Climax Scaffolding, BriggsAmasco completed the repairs to the highest standard to provide a building that would once again offer dry and warm conditions to train the community’s young cadets.
