We are currently looking to recruit a Safety Manager to cover our London and Southern region.

Key Objectives of the role:

  • Monitor and report on H&S performance for projects
  • Ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to projects for which they are responsible
  • Advise on project, health & safety issues
  • Promoting good practice relating to health & safety management
  • Support client relationship activities as required
  • Support supply chain activities and the raising of H&S standards
  • Advise on compliance with applicable legislation and industry best practice
  • Assist in the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents and non-conformances and making recommendations for corrective action
  • Liaising with statutory bodies as appropriate
  • Assisting in the preparation of project H&S plans as required
  • Attend mobilisation meetings
  • Deliver the H&S components of each mobilisation plan
  • Training, advice and support necessary for them to achieve timely compliance
  • Provide new contract staff with direct support and advice on implementing the H&S Management System including the development of Contract Management Plans
  • Ensure that client H&S requirements are understood and included within the mobilisation plan
  • Reporting to MD; attending quarterly Head Office H&S meetings; use of company app for reporting purposes

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Thorough working knowledge of HS&S systems through significant job experience & training

  • Experience of supporting a business and/or project
  • Likely to hold the following qualifications
    • Tech IOSH and Associate of IEMA
    • NEBOSH Construction Health & Safety Certificate or equivalent
